Have you been thinking of whether you should set up a blog but are unsure whether you should or not? What is holding you back?
Lots of people blog for various reasons, some use it for a personal space to share their story or journey, others use it to support their business and for some, it is their business and they use it for a source of income. Whatever reason you choose to blog though, your blog is your personal space on the internet for you to create what you like.
When I first started blogging, it was a place to share my journey as a new mum. I never knew what blogging could offer or what it could become. Since then we have had some amazing trips such as holidays with Butlins and last year was my first year making a 5-figure income from the blog, which is on the side to my full-time job. If you are looking to make a little income on the side of your job, blogging is a way to do this.
All I will say to you though is this is not an overnight way to earn money. Yes, you can earn money on blogging from various income streams, however, you do need to put the effort in before this happens. Earning money on a blog is a combination of a variety of things such as traffic, domain authority, and contacts. Once you start to build that network of contacts, it is easier to make money from your blog.
This blog is just to give you the tools you need to achieve the goals you want to get from the blog.

On this blog, we are going to walk you through blogging basics which include:

Plus so much more! Blogging is something I love to do and I can’t wait to be sharing some how-to guides and reviews on the things that have made my life easier since I started blogging.
There is a lot of information on blogging online, not to mention, so much you can throw your money at. Before you do that though, let me show you the basics, without it costing you any money other than the hosting and domain name, which you will need to be able to make any money from your blog. Then from there, you can decide how much or how little you would like to invest and build your blog.
I have been blogging for 10 years and trust me, I have thrown money at it over the years. Some bits have been great investments such as Social Bee, which is a social media scheduler, and Rank Maths, which is a great SEO plugin. Other things such as multiple courses and guides have been a little hit and miss. Everyone’s journey in blogging can be different and there is no magic formula to making it big, it is about trial and error on your blog and finding what works for you in your blog.
Over time I will also share with you things that I have learned such as letting go of comparison syndrome, you are not the same as any other blogger. Learning to be you and be confident in doing that is the best thing you can do.
For now, though, let’s start with helping you set up a blog that you love.
